We started our Summer holiday in Tauranga which is on the east coast of NZ. Fortunately our friends Emma and Scott put up with us for three nights! It is about a 3 hr drive from Auckland and we stopped briefly in Paeroa for a popsicle (Megamind). The weather was hot so when we arrived we swiftly jumped into their lovely cool pool. Alex had some device which squirts water quite a distance although Scott found a more effective shotgun effect with his noodle! The ipad is very useful to keep young children entertained as Oli loved showing Charlie the Mickey Mouse story. Emma had a chocolate fountain which she was brave enough to allow the children to have some fruit and marshmallows. It was met with mixed results some food in the mouth but the chocolate pretty much went everywhere but in their mouths!Tom is pretty obsessed with Mr Bump and built him a lovely house which lasted about 10 seconds before Charlie destroyed it with great joy!
