Te Papa Museum

We were told that Te Papa was amazing and it didn't let us down. The whole experience is very interactive for children which meant we couldn't see it all in one day. The illuminating floor was like a google map which lit up for various reasons but a great way of showing the children of where we have been and where we are. The big hit was 'Colossus' the giant squid, the largest ever caught which they preserved. They had a video of it when it was alive and explained why and how they kept it. Oli ended up buying a soft toy squid and Tom was drawing pictures about it for days! They had discovery centres around the museum which were lots of activities such as drawing and puzzle solving. Brilliant.
