Gymnastics, Sydney and Queenstown

Fran and I recently went to see Opshop, huge in NZ and really good, in a small pub. There were about 40 people and it was amazing, only in NZ!
The boys continue to love Gymnastics and Alex is now level 7, the highest in the club. He's coach's face was picture when he saw Alex's broken arm.
The boys also love cooking and are beginning to do more, not bad either.
Fran had four days in Sydney and visited Bondi beach. She thought it was a fantastic place but very expensive.
The scenic shot is Queenstown as I have an interview there very soon which could change our lives dramatically - watch this space. A bit of a long shot but you never know!

We are back!

Apologises for not keeping up, been told off so lots to catch up on!

Alex broke his arm doing gymnastics at school whilst Fran was in Oz doing a half-marathon. She was really pleased with her 2:25 as it was particularly hot in Sydney. Still convinced it was a shopping trip! Alex was awesome, never complained during the operation to put the arm back in place and all has gone really well...so far.
Spring is here and we are starting to use our deck which feels great, although the odd shower appears - typical Auckland weather.
This holiday the boys have been enjoying some swimming lessons, only a couple in a session so they get a lot if 1-1.
Alex has had his cast changed so about three weeks to go.
Alex is now listening to Big Time Rush and 1d, and so he has to have the right hairstyle to listen to it though!

It's all about Tom!

Tom has many facets to his character. Many of the photos demonstrate the variety of characteristics he has i.e. determination, passion, stubbornness and quirky - in fact it's mostly quirky.
For his birthday he wanted to visit Kelly Tarltons, no presents just this.
Tom had twelve arm wrestles with Oli till he gave up and let him win!
Tom claimed the crab was eyeballing him!

Being Brave, new iPad and Kung Fu returns!

Tom is taking his karate very seriously and is loving wearing the outfit. He is brilliant at it, so focused.
We all loved Brave, more story than laughs.
The new iPad has allowed them to use the old iPad more often and there is a great times tables game that has helped them considerably although there is a long way to go yet!

Laundry, Grasshopper & Wizardy

We have finally started on our Laundry, needs lots of new jib and some paint. Should be straight forward?!
Tom has started Karate and is extremely proud of it.
We finally got the Florida video to work on our Mac laptop and the boys laughed so much at the fighting in the pool.
Told Tom to build a castle downstairs and dressed appropriately as a wizard to complete the job!
We won Web of Shadows on Trademe. for a bargain of $10! We had to drive to Waitkere though, needed ice-cream
to get through it.

July 2012 Being creative!

During this month we have been very creative. We visited spotlight for wool and materials, this is where Tom found the most terrifying mask ever!
Fran brought Toms imagination to life with a cuddly Bum-Bum.
In preparation for Alex's performance in Beauty & the Beast, we watched Pink Panther! Alex is supposed to have a French accent.
Alex joined Blake for some cake decorating and did an awesome job.

Pimps, Avengers and Memories

Tom continues to astound us with his fashion sense and it's terrifying to think what he will look like when he is older.
The boys were blown away with the avengers so much so that everything now involves Marvel.
It's great introducing old movies to the boys, Pink Panther with Peter Sellers was a huge hit.
We found a spiderman outfit downstairs, who is our superhero?
Memories - we had some photos taken before we left Gsy. Seems like a lifetime ago.
