Surfin' Campbells Bay

Fran took the boys for a bit of surfing after school which is about a 5 min walk from my school.
The water is warmer here so its not such a struggle to get in but I still wouldn't call it warm!
As you can see they have taken to it!  Just need the long blonde hair now! Fran would never allow it, she prefers the marine look.

Exploring Campbells Bay School Pt 2

After playing on the apparatus we went for a walk through the Cambpells Bay School community forest.  It took about 10 mins and then we had fun with a drinking tap!  Rather than have a drink, Ollie decided to have a shower instead!

Exploring Campbells Bay School Pt 1

I promised the boys that we would find a new park on the weekend and the park we went to didn't have any apparatus!  I quickly diverted to my school as we haven't really played there
yet.  It has three apparatus and great sand pit.

Open Day with the Emergency Services

The event was held at our local stadium which is pretty impressive in itself.

We had a great day exploring lots of cool vehicles.  The boys looked great as policeman, not sure we want 2 law enforcers in our house!  Ollie sat in the back as he refused to wear the shirt.  It was a worrying vision of the future seeing Ollie sat in the back with his brothers dressed
as Police driving the vehicle and sounding the sirens!

Fran was worse than the kids pushing her way to get on the helicopters.  Not sure if it was the helicopters or the pilots that got her attention!

A Perfect Valentines Day!

Went to Top Gear with Chris, Justin and Dan.  As you can see Top Gear did not disappoint.  It was hilarious, Hammond lost a race and had to do a forfeit which involved a bike trying to use his bum as a stand.

There was an exhibition of lots of very nice cars I couldn't even afford to look at let alone consider buying.  Chris gave me
all the specifications as we walked past, a petrol heads dream.

The show included some stunts and the one with a ball was amazing.  Eventually there was four motorbikes whizzing around it.  Glad Ollie didn't see the show, he would be asking for a motorbike. We all loved the football with Suzuki Swifts.  NZ beat England 4-3.

There were lots of simulators and Justin was quick to have a go.  Chris had a go after and was only 25 seconds off the record for the fastest time over 3 laps.

You could have a go at changing tyres on F1 car.  The tyres are really light, never expected that.

What a fantastic Valentines Day and I finished the night with a romantic meal for two showing Fran the pictures of my lovely day out
with my mates.  There could be some serious payback coming my way!

All sorts!

Our boxes have finally survived customs!  The boys are off the scale excited - toys, toys and toys!!!  Fran is very pleased as she now has a potato smasher.  Fran has informed its a potato
masher.  Technical kitchen terms are not my strength.

NZ schools are very keen on handwriting and our boys are not the best so they all have a desk now.  Lucky things.  Actually, they have been using them quite a lot.

Been playing 7-a-side for 3 weeks now and they don't swear at me anymore so I must be
doing something right now.

The paper shot is for Pete the cleaner.  Many days after school we moaned about Delancy and why couldn't they do something about it.  Well, every year North Shore City Council works towards renewing playground equipment and 10 parks have been updated this year. Ollie is very excited by one shaped as a boat or as Ollie calls it - 'the nemo park!'  Pete used tell me about sneaking into schools to play on their playground equipment, here you are encouraged to use them.  Every school has 2/3 apparatus to enjoy.

Our recycling is collected every 2 weeks.  I like to keep them busy!  I do miss cramming it all into the back of the car on a Sunday and taking it to Chouet to find them all full.  Aaaahhhh.

New sofa number 2

During our 100% humidity the boys enjoyed mummy's noodles and beef.  Just wish
they would eat the stuff!

New sofa arrived for our second living area.  The boys are enjoying reading together, they
had been sitting in their rooms.  It feels great to have such a lovely living area with so much
space.

Fran got stuck at the house the other day cos the garage door broke whilst the car was inside, a spring snapped in half and that was that.  No escape.  The call out charge alone was $95, one bonus for renting.

Alex is officially our bookworm.  He will not stop reading, never did I expect to be taking books away from him.  He has been reading for a couple of hours a time!  Done the Chronicles of Narnia already.  I still prefer the books with lift up flaps!
