Alex's Birthday Party Pt 3

Charlie Chipmunk!!  Their faces were a picture and a half!!  Thomas took about 10 mins to move!  He was stunned and couldn't breathe let alone move.  Ollie knew who it was and screamed 'Charlie Chipmunk' and was out of his chair getting high fives before Alex even knew he was in the room!

It was hilarious, they all got high fives and he gave Alex a colouring book and a free ticket to come again.  How cool is that! Fantastic.

Alex's Birthday Party Pt 2

Another very important reason is was such a great party was that mum and dad didn't have to do anything!!  They supplied the party room, hot food, hats, balloons, party bags, ice cream and drinks!  Fran did supply the birthday mini cakes which were awesome according to Alex, I think it had a lot to do with the amount of icing on them!  Besides the amount of things to do and everything being done for you there was one final icing on the cake for the birthday boy!

Alex's Birthday Party

Alex had a great party at... Chipmunks!  He invited some friends from his class and friends of Tom and Ollie as well.

Alex is standing next to his best buddy at the moment, Fletcher.  He has the ability to make
Alex laugh - a lot!

Chipmunks is a actually a chain of indoor play areas owned by 'Wolf' from Gladiators! It was the perfect venue as it had all the soft play area bits, bouncy slide, bouncy castle and games area including a video game areas which was very useful to cool them down!

Next to Tom and Ollie playing the Playstation is Finlay who is sports mad!

The Bookworm

The top picture is what I saw when I walked into Alex's room.  The second photo is a few seconds later with the flash on!  How desperate is that! Alex now has a head lamp to allow him to finish his three books a day diet!!  He was supposed to be playing with his brothers in the tent and I found him reading again.  Hence, 'The Bookworm'.

Tea on the decking

Paul and Sue Mees visited us today who are friends of Uncle Rick and Jeannine.  They kindly brought a parcel with them full of bits and pieces from my mum.  The boys were very happy and went into one of their 'let's do something crazy' modes.  Out came costumes, boxes, body boards, soft toys, a briefcase (?), cardboard boats and the tent.  In the end they decided to build a base on the decking so they had their tea out there.

Alex has struck gold and has found lots of Zac Power books in the school library.  I have to meet him there after school everyday!

Western Springs Park Play Area with Tom

As you can see Tom enjoyed himself a lot.  Tom is the bravest of the three and is willing to try most things.  It's quite funny because if he cannot do something he blames us!  It's never his fault.  We don't know where he gets that from, do we Rick?

We were supposed to go to the zoo but the boys enjoyed there time so much here we ran out of time.  The great thing about the park is that it is inbetween MOTAT and the Zoo.  You can walk through the park from MOTAT to get to the zoo.

Western Springs Park Play Area with Ollie

I cannot explain in mere words how much Ollie loves play areas.  He has to have certain amount of time where he climbs things and does his Ollie 'thing' or we have a moody/naughty boy.  His grin grows and grows the longer we are there.  The worst bit is leaving as I have to chase him and literally carry him away using the diversion tactic of talking about R2-D2.  Hope that obsession changes soon, you soon run out of interesting facts about R2-D2.
