Good Friday

Sid and Claire had arrived a couple of days and we really wanted them to see the East Coast Bays so we started at Long Bay.  The boys were very happy because it has a great play area.  As you can see they are starting to take a few risks!

We were about to start a long walk so we needed the lollipop tree!  It worked.  The weather hadn't been great since they arrived but thankfully it turned it out sunny although the temperature is definitely dropping.

The Killers

We travelled into the city to the Vector Arena.  It was a great venue as it was new and modern.
Fortunately Nathan and Claire came with us so we didn't have to find it! They have been many times before to see bands like Guns and Roses and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We had great seats which was just the right distance to see them.  They were brilliant and the beer was good too!

The Beautiful Weather Continues

Looking at these angelic pictures of Tom and Ollie reminds me of a recent story.  At kindy Tom was quietly piecing a jigsaw and Ollie was not.  He was with his 3 mates in the toilet wetting paper towels trying to get them to stick to the ceiling. Most of his throws missed though. Ollie told us this story with great passion and finished with.'It's ok no-one told us off!'

The weather is still fantastic, about 24-25, and the boys tend to disappear outside to throw things or bounce on the trampoline.

The school gives out a key to parents who want one so they can make use of the pool. Our friends mentioned it was the last day so we popped down for a swim and a climb on the apparatus.

Lollipops

On Saturday we had to get our tyres sorted which meant we had to leave the car for an hour in an area we had never been to.  We walked straight into 'Lollipops' and decided that it was worth a visit.  As you can see it certainly was!

Tom and Ollie were jumping for joy when they saw the slide and it did not disappoint, they flew down it! There was lots of things to do as well as dressing up and blocks to build with etc.  Most importantly it had the cafe and we received a free coffee each which impressed us!

The icing on the cake for the boys was the 'Lollipop' they received when they left, I think it worked - they want to come back.

For Poppy

Thought Dad would be impressed with this. Three/four times a term (we have four ten week terms) we go to Lake Pupuke so the children can kayak and sail.

Room 11 had practised their capsizing and were given the opportunity to try things out such as tacking and putting together the optimists.  A stunning location so I sat in the rescue boat and stared at the views! Its all run by instructors and parent helpers, teaching is tough.

The Red Sock/'Under the Sea' day

Tom and Ollie had a special day today as they were celebrating 'Red Socks Day'.  A Kiwi used to raise lots of money to help preserve the coastlines and every year since he died they continue to raise money.  The 'Kindy' theme was 'Under the Sea' which Ollie was very pleased about, Fran wasn't so pleased as she had to spend most of her night making the outfits.  Alex didn't want to feel left out so he dressed himself up!

Tom and Ollie were very proud of their 'aquariums' and insisted I blogged it!  They made them separately and yet they are so similar. Is it the twin thing?

Visit from Fin

Tom and Ollie were very excited today as their buddy Fin came round.  As you can imagine they trashed the house big time, every toy came out possible!  Until the track came out and Fin insisted on tidying up!  Ollie was confused.

When Fin left they were very high and decided to be ghosts.  As you do.
