CBS, immigration and swimming pool

Our addiction to cafes still continues and whilst we are waiting the boys like to do poses! Campbells Bay School is very into drama, dancing and singing, and it is slowly rubbing on the boys as you can see in the photos!

During the summer we had to redo our permanent residence which took about 2 hours. The boys were brilliant and waited patiently colouring in etc. We now have an indefinite visa, although Fran had to run to an internet cafe and ask to print some pay slips! We were supposed to do that after being here 3 months, whooops!

CBS allows families of the school to use the pool which is great. Its not particularly warm but its great for 20 mins to burn some energy!

Palmerston North and Cinema visit

On our way to Wellington we stopped at Palmerston North which was an interesting stop? i.e. middle of nowhere place which was surprisingly big, sort of reminded us of a small town in the States. It was great to have a stop and grab something to eat which was Subway, our favourite take-away as the food is fresh.

Whilst we were in Wellington we promised the boys a visit to the cinema as they were desperate to see 'Tangled'. They loved the trailer. While we waited we bought some mini lego figures series 2. Tom and Alex struck gold with two great characters but Oli ended up with a female tennis player?! He was not happy. Tangled was excellent, very funny and the songs weren't too annoying.

Tauranga/Ohakune from mobile phone

Christmas feels like a long time ago! In Browns Bay the boys always stick their noses against the window of the chocolate shop but there was a festive board outside that day. Typically Tom found the smallest hole for himself!

Whilst we were in Tauranga Oli became obsessed with the tricycle at Scott's and Emma's. That was ok but everytime he used it, the bike made a huge noise on the deck. Not the best noise at 7am!

Alex is going to be a fashion model as he has no shame! He was being lazy and told Fran that he couldn't be bothered to get any clothes so Fran dressed him in plastic bags!

The town of Ohakune is very picturesque with Ruapheu in the background. We are really looking forward to coming back during the ski season, if we can get it in. Ruapheu is the most popular ski field on the North Island.

Before we travelled to the top of Ruapheu we go some advice for the tourist info centre on the temperature at the top. There was still ice up there! It was fine and the new cafe at the top was awesome.
